Nicola is the senior solicitor in the Thomas Guise private client team, specialising in probate and the administration of estates, wills, lasting powers of attorney and deputyships. She also advises on inheritance tax issues and offers assistance to clients who need to obtain grants from foreign jurisdictions.
Nicola is happy to visit elderly clients at home, in hospital or in residential care in order to ensure that their wishes are correctly carried out.
Nicola also works for our Chinese business clients drafting wills and undertaking probate work for Chinese people who have UK assets. She went on a trade mission to China in 2012 and realy enjoyed the experience of meeting clients and understanding more about their culture.
Prior to joining Thomas Guise she worked as solicitor and was head of the Birmingham Settlement Money Advice Centre.
In her spare time Nicola enjoys cycling, jogging and tennis and is learning to play golf although it may be some while before she can attempt to play a round!
Nicola’s most recent achievement was to cycle from London to Paris to raise money for the Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove. She is currently a volunteer counsellor for ChildLine.

What others say:
“May I also take this opportunity to thank you again for all the work you have carried out on our behalf. I am guessing this hasn’t been the most straightforward or routine example of probate work, and I thank you for navigating us through it all.”
