John started his legal career in Cardiff in 1967 and specialised in Family Law from 1969. He has worked on many high profile business and farming cases. In his career, John has made the All-England Law Reports twice with the important decisions of Carr v Carr [1974] 1 All E.R.1193 and Brown v Brown [1974] 119 Sol.Jo.166.C.A. In an unreported case one of John’s special moments was being reported in The Sun and finding various members of the tabloid press outside the office first thing on a cold, damp morning! John has attended court in London in one of the very rare instances where the Queen’s Proctor has intervened with a happy ending for his client.  In addition to dealing with breakdown of marriage, separation and divorce, John also has an extensive knowledge of Children’s Act matters and all aspects of ancillary relief and, more recently, of breakdown of relationships in unmarried couples and all the attendant legal consequences.

He is also a well known breeder and exhibitor of Welsh Cobs in hand and under saddle. John is an accredited judge of welsh ponies and cobs and has judged at several ”Royal” Shows and at the International Show. He will be judging ”down under” in Melbourne and Queensland in the new year. He is a keen supporter of Welsh and Worcester Rugby.
