Sale of Leigh Sinton Post Office and Stores

Back to news 14 June 2010

Thomas Guise has just completed the sale of Leigh Sinton Post Office and Stores for Dave and Jane Endean. The buyers Dav and Tracey Kalcutt, paid an undisclosed sum for the business, which is the only shop in the small Worcestershire village of Leigh Sinton.

The Post Office and Stores are very much the focal point of village life, and Dave and Jane have worked tirelessly for the local community since they took over the business in 2002.

Dave said: “We will be really sad to leave. Living and working the same building 7 days a week, 52 days a year, certainly takes it out of you, but we have loved every minute”.

Jane continued: “Tom, Stuart and the team at Thomas Guise were absolutely fantastic. They were so supportive and really were there for us every step of the way”.

Whilst Dave and Jane will no longer be involved in the business, they have retained the freehold of the stores, house and the holiday cottage that is attached to it. They also have plans to expand their small business, which sells cakes and other confectionary products.
