Chris’s charity blisters!

Chris Pugh

We’ve always thought our man in accounts, Chris Pugh, has a spring in his step. But when he announced his intention to run a half marathon in 3 hours (all in the name of charity), we had our doubts! Following a rigorous training regime, which we’re told involved plenty of time in the gym (and the occasional pint), Chris was ready for the off. And in spite of the searing heat from the British summer sun, Chris completed the 13 mile run in under 2 and a half hours. Thanks to friends, family and colleagues at TG, Chris raised an impressive £170 for the Acorns Children’s Hospice. Acorns has three hospices situated in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester, and provides care and support to life limited children and their families. Chris said: “There are so many worthwhile causes out there, but Acorns is a fantastic charity whose work is close to my heart. I’m just glad to be able to help them.” If you would like to know more about Acorns Children’s Hospice, please visit the website at www.acorns.org.uk.
