Thomas Guise Solicitors is celebrating the completion of another deal in the care sector. The firm, which has offices in Worcester, Studley and Birmingham, acted for Oak House Care Limited in the purchase of Ty Derwen Care Home in Cardiff.
Oak House Care Limited is owned by Arun and Rita Patel, who are long-standing clients of Thomas Guise. The purchase of the 32-bed property strengthens the Patels’ existing care group, comprising two homes and 97 beds.
Arun Patel said: “In the current climate it’s important to have a team of professionals on board who really push the deal through. We’ve used Thomas Guise before and been impressed with their pro-activity and communication.
“We’re delighted to have completed the purchase of Ty Derwen and are really looking forward to working with staff and residents to make this the happiest home in Cardiff!”
Wayne Thomas, managing director of Thomas Guise, commented: “We’re pleased to have completed another purchase for Arun and Rita. The fact that clients from right across the UK instruct us is testament to our great reputation in the care sector. A high proportion of those clients instruct us again and again, which shows that our reputation is well-deserved.”
The purchase was funded by the Royal Bank of Scotland, with finance brokered by Chandler & Co, who are specialists in the care sector. The seller, Derwen Care Limited, was represented by Berry Smith LLP Solicitors, based in Cardiff.
