Thomas Guise Solicitors move from strength to strength with the appointment of corporate/commercial solicitor Thomas Bartley-Smith. Thomas joined them at the beginning of the month from national law firm Charles Russell LLP, and will be based in their Worcester office, working along-side the existing commercial team.
Thomas was born and educated in Cheltenham, and went on to read law at Oxford. After graduating he returned to Cheltenham, where he trained as a solicitor. He qualified in 2005 and has since specialised in corporate/commercial work.
He advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, including company formations, acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, joint ventures, refinancing and restructuring. In addition, Thomas advises clients on commercial matters, including partnership and shareholder agreements, contracts and terms of trading.
Managing Partner Wayne Thomas said “We are very pleased to have Thomas on board. He has all the attributes we value at Thomas Guise and I am sure that he will help us maintain the high standards of service that we provide to our commercial clients.”
Away from the office, Thomas loves all things automotive. He has a particular passion for classic cars owning several including a MG and 2CV. He is however still saving for a 1970s Porsche 911 and since his move from Cheltenham to Worcester, is relishing becoming a Sunday afternoon driver exploring the Worcestershire countryside. Thomas also enjoys course fishing and is a qualified scuba diver; in essence Thomas Guise’s answer to James Bond!
