Thomas Guise Solicitors exhibited for the first time at the care industry’s premier event, the Care Show held at the NEC, which proved to be both a rewarding and worthwhile experience for the firm.
Stuart Bailey one of the practice’s Directors said, “As a leading law firm in the care home sector it was important for us to support the show and associate with others involved in the industry. We have a specialist Care Home Team which has a great deal of experience in the acquisition, sale and refinancing of care homes."
Being at the show enabled Thomas Guise staff to meet and speak to a wide variety of people, establish a point of contact and pave the way for future dealings. “It can sometimes take a long time for care home operators to decide whether to sell or buy a care home, but once they have reached that decision, we would like to think that they will recall meeting us at the show and approach us to act for them, safe in the knowledge that we are key players in this niche market”, added Stuart.
Amongst the 2,500 visitors to the show Thomas Guise met a number of old and existing clients and other professionals such as bankers, brokers, insurance agents and surveyors. “It was an extremely worthwhile exercise and as first-time exhibitors our objective was predominately to remind people of who we are and what we do. Also it enabled us to make the point to care home owners that it saves time and money if they consult us before their care homes are put on the market, rather than when the deal has been agreed.”, concluded Stuart.
