Business Legal Services | Acquisitions and Disposals

Our corporate team deals with the sale and purchase – including mergers, acquisitions and disposals – of businesses of all shapes and sizes. These range from the local corner shop to multimillion pound share transactions. Whatever the deal, the principle remains the same – we commit ourselves 100% to achieving our clients’ goals.

Our approach is above all a practical one – we understand that you live in the real world and want more than theoretical, defensive advice. We pride ourselves on protecting our clients’ interests at all times, developing a pragmatic and positive approach tailored to your business’s circumstances.

If you are selling a business, we get under the skin of your operation so that we can provide accurate and helpful information to the buyer’s professional advisors. This also enables us to ensure you make full disclosure of any important issues that might otherwise result in disputes or litigation after completion of the sale.

If you are buying a business, we liaise with your accountants in carrying out a thorough investigation into the target company. Our aim is to help you complete the deal on the best possible terms, and to make sure that you don’t find any costly skeletons in the cupboard after the acquisition.

Recent work includes the purchase of a Welsh care home for £3.5 million; the sale of a major UK IT company, with earn-outs and reinvestment in predator; and the management buy-out of an engineering company for £2 million.
